Network Testing Equipment

Portable Networking Protocol Analyzers and
Datacom BERT Family

X.25 , Frame-Relay , TCPIP , BERT....

CTC Union's Network Testing Equipment includes a variety of portable testing equipment for networking professionals. Our HCT Series testers are menu driven protocol analyzers with industry standard interfaces such as V.35, X.21, RS-530/449/232, sync or async. They provide protocol analysis of ASYNC, SYNC(BSC), HDLC, SDLC, X.25, DDCMP, Frame Relay, SNA, PPP, SLIP, V5.1, V5.2, ISDN-D and SS7 as well as BERT (Bit Error Rate Testing) functions.

Our Datacom BERT testers (HCT-BERT) are menu driven data communication testers similar to our HCT Series but with BERT functions only. They provide a wide range of testing patterns and operate as a pattern generator and/or receiver.

HCT Series of Protocol / BERT Analyzers
The HCT-7000, flagship model of the HCT Series, provides WAN protocol analysis for ASYNC, SYNC (BSC), HDLC, SDLC, X.25, SNA, DDCMP, TCP/IP, PPP, SLIP and Frame Relay communications at full E1 transmission speeds (2.048Mbps), plus 2M (2.048Mbps) BERT (Bit Error Rate Testing). The basic unit supports two hardware interface modules that can be any pair supporting RS-232C (V.24/V.28), RS-530, V.35, RS-449 (V.36), X.21, G.703 E1, G.703 T1(DS1), or G.703/64K Co-directional.

The HCT-6000 model includes protocol analysis for ASYNC, SYNC(BSC), HDLC, SDLC, X.25, DDCMP, TCP/IP, PPP, SLIP and Frame Relay communications. The HCT-6000 is capable of two modes of BERT testing. Low speed BERT is supported at speeds up to 128Kbps, while high speed BERT supports speeds at up to 2.048Mbps. The hardware interfaces supported include RS-232C, V.35, X.21, and RS-449.

The HCT-6000A model includes all the features of the HCT-6000 with the exception of high speed (2M) BERT.

The HCT-BERT/2M model provides 2M (E1 and T1 speed) and 128K BERT only, without any protocol analysis.

The HCT-BERT/128 model provides only 128K BERT capability without any protocol analysis.

The HCT-2000E model includes protocol analysis for ASYNC, SYNC(BSC), HDLC, SDLC, and X.25 Frame and Packet plus BERT at speeds up to 72Kbps. The hardware interfaces supported include RS-232 (V.24/V.28) and V.35.
